Tymon has been developing a collaborative project in Spain with Richard Dudanski (PiL and 101ers) and Antonias Arias (091, Lagartija Nick). The result, ‘Tymon Dogg and the Dacoits‘ made their debut at legendary Granada underground club ‘La Planta Baja’ in June 2014.
In between recording sessions for his new album ‘Made of Light’ Tymon and friends have continued to develop this unique sound. Antonia Arias flew to London to play with Tymon at KoKo in Camden in March 2015.
On May 10 2015 the Dacoits sound was expanded when they were joined by Alabama 3 guitarist, Steve Finnerty, Pogues member Jem Finer and keyboard player J.J. Macguca of Solea Morente y Los Evangelistas for a gig at Granda’s Planta Baja, this time to mark the Granada premier of a new film about Joe Strummer’s time in the dream city.
Will this new Anglo-Spanish collaboration of legendary musicians continue and expand? We sure hope so! Watch this space!
